Shawn Neufeld will receive the Legacy Award from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mercer County at the organization’s 40th anniversary gala on October 25. BBBS provides a mentoring program for children ages six to eighteen. Shawn served as a member of the Board of Trustees for nine years, including two years as its President. During Shawn’s term as president, the BBBS Mercer County was named the “2009 Board of the Year” and received three “Gold Standard” awards from the national organization.
